MLB Picks for Monday, April 18

MLB Picks for Monday, April 18

The MLB season is in full swing, and some teams are starting to hit their stride. However, the flipside of this is that some teams have already looked like they are playing in the dog days of summer. These are the teams that you will want to fade most of the time when betting on your MLB picks!

The Monday MLB slate is always massive because new series are beginning. There are a few great games on the slate with a lot of betting value. Here are some of the best moneyline MLB picks for Monday, April 18.

Minnesota Twins vs Boston Red Sox ML (-140)

The Boston Red Sox are coming off a huge win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. This marked their second straight win in the series. The action will conclude on Monday, with the first pitch scheduled for 11:10 AM ET.

The game is early because it’s Patriot’s Day and the Marathon Game in Boston. The momentum is with the Red Sox heading into this matchup, and the pageantry of the day gives the team an extra edge.

Dylan Bundy will pitch against Rich Hill in the morning matinee. Bundy had a scoreless start to the season over five innings, but Boston has been hitting the baseball, and this is bad news for the Twins. If the Red Sox hit, Minnesota cannot compete with their offense.

Chicago White Sox +105 vs Cleveland Guardians

The White Sox have been solid to start the year, but they have dropped the ball on multiple occasions. However, I love them with positive odds against the Guardians, who are still looking for their first win at home.

Triston McKenzie will be difficult for the White Sox lineup to combat. He went seven innings in his first start of the season and struck out seven. Chicago will need to work their best at-bats, but I like them to work counts and get to McKenzie. Check out the BParlay.com MLB Parlays guide for some betting ideas and strategies.

Dallas Keuchel should be solid against Cleveland’s weak offense. Keuchel struck out five in his first start over five innings of work. Look for Tim Anderson to continue his domination at the plate. He is slashing .393/.414/.607 on the season.

Arizona Diamondbacks +126 vs Washington Nationals

The Diamondbacks are not a great team, but they have pulled off some big wins to start the year. The team has one win over the Padres, Mets, and Astros this season. The Nationals blew a three-run lead on Sunday to the Pirates, and Juan Soto seemed cold at the plate.

Arizona has their ace on the mound in Madison Bumgarner. Bumgarner has pitched eight innings on the year with a 2.25 ERA and four strikeouts. If he can maneuver Josh Bell and Juan Soto, the Diamondbacks could pull off an upset win.

The Diamondbacks need to keep the Nationals off the board, and if they do this, they will win on Monday. Why not learn more about how a lucky punter won a 1.2 million dollar parlay!

San Francisco Giants vs New York Mets -110

The New York Mets seem like they have a team that could make a run in October early in the season. The Mets are still making New York mistakes, but they seem to be limited this year. New York is off to a 7-3 start and are sitting in first place in the NL East.

The Giants will be their first legitimate challenge of the season, but the Mets’ have their replacement ace on the bump in Tylor Megill. Megill is 2-0 on the year with 11K in 10.1 innings of work.

Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso each have three homers on the season. Additionally, Jeff McNeil is blasting the ball, slashing .344/.447/.438. Best of luck with your Monday MLB picks!
