Are the Bengals a Good Future Bet for Super Bowl LVII?

Are the Bengals a Good Future Bet for Super Bowl LVII?

The Cincinnati Bengals were bested in Super Bowl LVI by three points. It was a crushing defeat for the Bengals, but it became clear they would blow their lead as the game developed.

Cincinnati’s success in 2021-22 was remarkable, considering the team had a lot of holes. This is a testament to the coaching staff and their stars like Joe Burrow, who patched the problems all season.

However, the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LVI showed the team had issues that could not be patched. Burrow was mauled, and Cooper Kupp torched the secondary. I believe the Bengals will be back in the mix in the coming seasons.

It’s very tough to go back to a Super Bowl after losing the game. It takes a lot out of a team playing the extra games, but I believe Cincinnati will be back in the mix. The main question you should look at before free agency is if the Bengals are a good bet.

The team is currently +1400 to win Super Bowl LVII. This means a $100 wager would return $1500, so it’s a lucrative decision. This number will adjust after free agency, so if you like Cincinnati, I would lock them in now.

Here are the reasons why the Bengals are a great bet to win it all next season.

Cap Space

The way to fix problems in the NFL and professional sports, in general, is with money. There is a cap limit in the NFL, so there is not a big problem when it comes to unlevel playing fields as in baseball. However, teams with the most money to design a team in a given season have an advantage.

Cincinnati has the third most cap space heading into the 2022 offseason. This is a huge advantage for the team in the future markets. They will lose some free agents like Eli Apple, but their core is returning.

The Bengals are a young team based around rookie and sophomore studs. These players are locked in for cheap money while they can go out and get necessary veterans to fill the pieces. I cannot imagine there are many free agents who are not looking for a team like the Bengals in 2022.

This team is loaded, and it has a quarterback in Joe Burrow, who is one of the best in football. Money wins games, and Cincinnati has a lot of space.  Why not learn more about this genre of betting witht the BParlay.com NFL Parlay betting guides.

The Problems

The positions that cost NFL teams a lot of money are quarterback, running back, and receiver. Cincinnati has Burrow, Joe Mixon, and a slew of receiver talent, so they can take this money to where it matters.

The position where it matters is the offensive line. Burrow was the Comeback Player of the Year and an MVP candidate with very little protection this season. Cincinnati chose to draft Ja’Marr Chase instead of an offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft. Read more about the Rams taking down with Bengals in the BParlay.com review.

This is the year to draft an offensive lineman and focus on the position in free agency. If the Bengals can keep Burrow upright, they should have the most prolific offense in the NFL.

On defense, the Bengals must tighten up the secondary. This should not be hard with the money they have to spend. If Cincinnati drafts well and has a successful free agency, I can easily see them contending again next season.

The 17-game schedule is long, but when placing a future bet, you must examine talent. The Bengals have the talent and money to win in 2022.
