A Look Inside Football Parlay That Won Bettor $47K

Betting parlays is a guilty pleasure for many sports bettors, casual and experienced alike. And while many recognize that hitting a football parlay is as scarce as hen’s teeth, that doesn’t stop us from trying our luck and hoping for the day when we can turn our pocket change into a life-changing payout.

It requires some amount of braveness to keep trying and betting on a combination of bets, the odds of which clearly aren’t in our favor. But all that becomes worth it when your parlay hits – and that’s what happened to one WynnBET bettor this Saturday when he turned $20 into $46,875.87 with a 12-team college football parlay.

A 12-Team Parlay

Sometimes hitting a single bet is tough; hitting two consecutive is even tougher, but when it comes to 12 bets in a single parlay, the chances really are slim to none. Yet that doesn’t mean it can happen, and the recent success story of a college football bettor only proves that.

As revealed by WynnBET, an unnamed bettor has hit it big on Saturday when he collected a 12-team parlay, with odds of 2,343-1. With that, he turned $20 into a mouth-watering $46,875.87 payout, proving that miracles do happen – even before Christmas.

The gambler’s football parlay consisted of favorites and totals on five games, and he also took a chance with two big underdogs. As revealed, the 12-leg parlay consisted of seven matches, including UL Lafayette vs Troy, Michigan State vs Maryland, Tusla vs Tulane, Notre Dame vs Virginia, Oklahoma State vs Texas Christian, UNR vs San Diego State, and Utah State vs San Jose State.

The bettor took a chance on UL Lafayette to cover the 6.5 points spread and that the game would end in over 48 points. The bets on the next three games were similar.

The punter predicted Michigan State would cover an 11.5 point handicap and that the game would end in under 61.5 points, and that Tusla would win by more than three points in a match that would end in under 56 points. Lastly, he had Notre Dame cover the 6.5 point handicap against Virginia, predicting that the game would not exceed 63 points and Oklahoma State would win by more than 12 points in a game that wouldn’t reach over 54 points.

The lucky winner also took a shot with UNR and Utah State for the last two picks, siding with the outsiders with a +3 and +4 handicap, respectively.

A Couple Close Calls

The brave college football punter has correctly predicted all 12 matches, albeit it didn’t go without a few close calls. Interestingly, the closest match was the Michigan State vs Maryland game, which barely remained under 61.5 points.

The Spartans scored a touchdown to take a 40-21 lead with 10:34 to go. Luckily, Michigan State’s pass fell incomplete when they went for two, keeping the score intact, and even though the game had a happy ending, it’s fair to say that those 10 minutes were the bettor’s longest 10 minutes of his life. Similarly, the match between UNR and San Diego was a close call, as UNR trailed the Aztecs 17-7 in the second half. But the stars aligned, and they rallied to take a 21-20 lead. Outside of those two, the remaining matches ended without any nail-biting moments.
