Welcome to the BParlay.com MLB 2021 Season Award Predictions.
Even though the 2021 Major League Baseball season is just over one month old, it is never too early to start looking at the Futures betting odds for the top individual awards. These odds will continue to change as the season goes along, but there is plenty of value in making a bet at this time.
The Cy Young Award and the MVP in each league are the most popular futures betting markets, and this will provide you with a close look at how each race is shaping up. Here are the top 5-10 candidates in each race and how those players have performed.
AL Cy Young
Gerrit Cole of the New York Yankees is the current betting favorite to win the Cy Young Award in the American League. Cole certainly has the stuff to get it done, but he is also facing some stiff competition.
Shane Bieber is the reigning Cy Young in the AL, and he has odds set at +330 to repeat and win this award. This is starting to shape up into a two-pitcher race at this point.
The other big names on this list are:
- Tyler Glasnow +450
- Lance Lynn +1500
- Tyler Glasnow +1800
- John Means +2000
This race is likely going to go down to the wire, but this just feels like it is Cole’s award to lose. Check out the BParlay MLB Free Picks page for the latest tips and betting advice.
MLB 2021 Season – AL MVP
It should come as no surprise that Mike Trout is currently the betting favorite to win the AL MVP Award at +170. Angels teammate Shohei Ohtani is the next player on the list, with odds being offered at +650.
The next four players on the list are:
- Vladimir Guererro Jr. + 900
- Byron Buxton +1200
- Giancarlo Stanton +1800
- J.D. Martinez +1800
This is going to be a tight race throughout the season, but taking Trout at +170 is the right way to go. Find out more about the MLB in 2021 on the official website of the MLB.
NL Cy Young
The NL Cy Young Award already appears to be wrapped up as Jacob DeGrom is already off to a fast start. DeGrom is the betting favorite at -125, and those odds will lower if he continues to be dominant.
Here are the next five players on the list:
- Corbin Burnes +500
- Trevor Bauer +1300
- Aaron Nola +1500
- Brandon Woodruff +1800
- Yu Darvish +1800
DeGrom is the easy pick for NL Cy Young Award, but Aaron Nola is an intriguing option. Nola certainly has the talent to win the Cy Young, and there is plenty of value with that pick.
Take Aaron Nola +1500 to win the NL Cy Young Award to help create your parlay.
NL MVP
The National League MVP race might be the most wide-open of the four options listed, and this is a great time to swing for the fences with your pick. Ronald Acuna Jr. is the betting favorite at +250, and Jacob DeGrom follows him up at +800.
Pitchers don’t usually win the MVP Award, but DeGrom is included because there aren’t a ton of great options. When looking to bet on the NL MVP, taking a deep dive into the betting odds will give you a great chance to make a play and one with value.
To wrap up your individual award parlay, take Kris Byrant (+1600) of the Chicago Cubs as the fourth leg of this bet.
