Welcome to the latest Cross Sport Parlay from the Tipsters at BParlay.com
The month of June is always a big month for sports as both the NBA and NHL are ready to crown a champion. The NHL schedule is still a bit messed up from the COVID-19 season, and that means even more hockey this month.
Not only will this provide you with plenty of great games to bet o. But you can also place future bets on each series as well. Instead of simply betting on one single series, creating a cross sport parlay is the best way to go.
The Golden State Warriors are ready to face off against the Boston Celtics in what should be a great matchup in the NBA Finals. There are a couple of great matchups set to take place in the NHL. As the Colorado Avalanche will take on the Edmonton Oilers in the West, and the Tampa Bay Lightning will face the New York Rangers in the East.
Here is a look at all three upcoming series, and a pick is provided for each one.
NBA Finals
The Golden State Warriors are the betting favorite in this series at -160, and the Boston Celtics have odds set at +130. This is now the 6th NBA Finals appearance for Golden State in the last eight years, while Boston has ended a small drought.
The Celtics just went on the road and beat the Miami Heat in Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals. But then had to make a long flight to California. Winning games at Golden State is never easy, especially for a tired and worn-down team.
The Celtics are one of the better defensive teams in the league, and their length can give the Warriors some issues. Golden State is still led by Stephen Curry, but he has plenty of help as well.
This series should at least go six games, but it’s just too hard to bet against the Warriors. Take Golden State +130 to begin your cross sport parlay. Read about how to place NBA Parlay picks with the BParlay.com free guide.
NHL Eastern Conference
The Tampa Bay Lightning are back in the Eastern Conference Finals. And they are still alive for their quest to win a third Stanley Cup. Standing in their way is the New York Rangers, a team that no one expected to be in this series.
Tampa Bay has been winning games with defense during the playoffs. And Andrei Vasilevsky continues to be a star. Vasilevskiy just shut down the explosive Florida Panthers offense, and he can do the same against New York.
The Rangers were not a great offensive team during the regular season. But that has not been the case in the playoffs. New York has been terrific on the power play, and Chris Kreider has turned into a scoring machine.
The Rangers have a ton of momentum, but they are clearly overmatched in this series. Tampa Bay is the right pick at -190.
NHL Western Conference
The Colorado Avalanche are pretty big betting favorites to win the Western Conference as they have odds set at -240. Edmonton has been a remarkable run to get to this point, but they are the underdogs at +195.
Not only are these two of the best teams in the NHL, but some of the best players in the league will be on the ice as well. This is also a series that should feature a ton of scoring, but Colorado has a big edge in goaltending.
Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid continue to be remarkable for the Oilers, but Colorado has enough talent to slow them down. Edmonton just tries to outscore every opponent, and that’s not going to work in this series.
Take the Avalanche -240 to close out your parlay.
