Most Painful Opening Day Betting Losses

Most Painful Opening Day Betting Losses

Opening Day is one of the best days of the year for betting. It does not matter if you like baseball or not…

Most bettors have action on the games when it comes to Opening Day. The dogs shined on the first day of the season, and there were a lot of painful losses.

After having some time to decompress, it’s always good to look back on the losses and try to laugh. Try is the KEYWORD here.

Here were the most painful betting losses of Opening Day 2022.

Brewers 4 vs Cubs 5

The Milwaukee Brewers were -1.5 (-115) in their season opener with reigning Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes on the hill. Burnes looked like a Triple-A wing in his first start of the season, giving up three runs on four hits in five innings.

Burnes was special last season and had great control, but this was not the case on Thursday. He walked three batters, gave up a bomb, and only struck out four. The Cubs looked nothing like their dominant teams with Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez, and Kris Bryant, but they still pulled off the comeback win.

The Brewers left nine runners on base and were 1-10 with runners in scoring position. To make matters worse, the team had the leadoff hitter on base seven times. Talk about PAIN.

Reds 6 vs Braves 3

The Atlanta Braves let the World Series festivities go to their head on Opening Day because Cincinnati kicked their butt. The Reds were the heaviest underdog of the day and not only covered but won 6-3. It was an embarrassing display from the Braves, who looked like they did early in the 2021 season.

It will take some time for this Atlanta team to mesh. However, they looked like a JV team in the opener, which was unacceptable.

Max Fried gave up five earned runs in five innings of work. For the Braves to win, Fried must take the ball and command the zone.

Luckily, I stayed away from this game because the juice was too high. Although, I know it ruined a few parlays across the United States. All of the free parlay picks are available to our readers on a daily basis, dont miss out, subscribe today!

Padres 4 vs Diamondbacks 2

The San Diego Padres should be ashamed of themselves. Out of all the ridiculous losses on Opening Day, none was worse than the Padres dropping the opener to the Diamondbacks. Arizona is by far the worse team in the NL West, and they blew an outstanding performance from Yu Darvish.

Heading into the game, Darvish was being criticized, but he shoved Arizona’s lineup. Darvish went six innings and gave up no hits on the night. He worked out of the minimal trouble he was in and pitched fantastic.

The bullpen was atrocious, and this became clear in the ninth inning when San Diego had a 2-0 lead. Robert Suarez came in and did not record a single out in the bottom of the ninth. He gave up three runs on no hits with two walks. Have you ever wondered Whats a double double in basketball? Why not learn more about this type of bet with the BParlay.com free guide.

He was pulled with the bases loaded, and Craig Stammen trotted out of the bullpen. The situation was close to impossible for Stammen, and he did not help himself when he spiked his first pitch to the backstop.

This brought the score to 2-1, and a hanging curveball on the following pitch made the score 4-2 in favor of the Diamondbacks. Seth Beer hit a walk-off shot to right field, putting the dagger in the sides of Padres’ bettors.

These losses are hard to swallow, but it’s baseball. All we can do at bparlay is continue to hammer.
