PointsBet Offer Mobile Sports Betting in NJ

Australian company PointsBet to begin offering mobile sports betting in NJ

New Jersey is getting a little push from “down under” in the online casino sports betting market. That’s due to the recent news from Australian online bookmaker PointsBet, which announced on October 8 that it will offer sports betting in New Jersey through its online mobile app.

PointsBet will partner with the Meadowlands Racetrack in northern New Jersey to offering the NJ online casino that will accept sports wagering. That is part of the deal in the New Jersey sports betting landscape, as each mobile app is required to have a land-based affiliate if it wants to offering sports wagers to customers.

PointsBet is ramping up its mobile app functionality and is getting everything in place to offer a NJ online casino capable of taking sports wagers in the state. It is planning to fully launch its mobile offering in November.

In the meantime, though, the company is hoping to get potential customers interested in its product in two ways – by offering a free $1 million challenge and by making former Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson a spokesperson. Who better than “The Answer,” as Iverson was known during his playing days, to tout PointsBet’s offerings?

PointsBet NJ Benefits

One of the marketed benefits of PointsBet’s NJ online casino is the company’s unique feature that it rewards continued accuracy by its bettors. “The more accurate your bet, the more you can win,” PointsBet says in its launch press release. That’s an interesting offering that it hopes will help separate itself from competition in what is becoming an increasingly crowded New Jersey online casino market.

In addition, PointsBet hopes to attract customers before its official launch by offering a $1 million NBA sweepstakes. The contest is free to enter, and rewards participants who pick the eight finalists of the NBA’s East and West Conferences for the 2018-2019 season.

With another NJ online casino coming to market soon to offer sports betting in New Jersey, it’ll be interesting to see how the marketplace continues to evolve.
