Betting on the NFL has been incredibly difficult through the first two weeks of the season, as there have been a ton of upsets. There are still a handful of dominant teams in the league, but some of the better teams haven’t lived up to their expectations this season.
Week 3 of the NFL season kicks off on Thursday night with a matchup of AFC North rivals, and there are other big rivalry games on the schedule as well. There does appear to be some good betting options out there, but also some games that could go either way. We also publish other Free NFL Picks on the dedicated NFL betting area.
Here is a quick look at some of the games in Week 3 and how they might end up playing out.
Underdogs to Watch
Betting on underdogs can be extremely valuable when it comes to the NFL, as you can make a moneyline pick and cash in. Home-field advantage does matter in this league, and it’s always a good idea to try and find the best underdog teams that are hosting games.
The Tennessee Titans are two-point underdogs against the Las Vegas Raiders in a battle of 0-2 teams. Even though the Titans have struggled in a big way to begin the year, Las Vegas hasn’t exactly been great. Tennessee has a great chance to turn things around at home in this matchup. There are other same game Parlay bet options available, this is just one.
Another underdog to watch would be the New England Patriots as they host the Baltimore Ravens. New England is a three-point underdog against Baltimore, and each team comes into this game with a record of 1-1.
Bet On These Favorites
There are also plenty of betting favorites to look at in Week 3, and some of those teams feel like absolute locks to pick up a win. Things can always change once the action on the field begins, but there are some teams that look nearly unbeatable.
The Kansas City Chiefs are on the road at Indianapolis as 5.5-point favorites over a Colts team that is just 0-1-1. Indianapolis is going to turn things around at some point, but the Chiefs are going to blow them out in this one.
The Buffalo Bills are another team that have been unstoppable to begin the year, and they are 5.5-point favorites over the Miami Dolphins. This is a pretty good rivalry in the NFC East, but Buffalo is going to roll over Miami in this matchup. Battles Are Brewing
There are also some games that look like a tight matchup on paper, and they should play out that way on the field. The Chicago Bears host the Houston Texans at Soldier Field, and the home team is a slight 2.5-point favorite.
This game is important for both teams as neither team has gotten off to a good start to the 2022 season. Another game to watch will take place in the NFC South between the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers.
New Orleans is trying to get to 2-1 as they are 2.5-point favorites in this game, but they are facing a Carolina Panthers team that is desperate to get a victory.
